Palmistry: What the lines on the palm say about your destiny
Quilology is believed to have originated in India, although its exact origins are unclear. We know that it eventually spread to China, Tibet, Egypt, Greece (the Greek philosopher Aristotle spoke of palmistry in his works), and Persia. Known throughout history as a mystical practice, this method of divination eventually faced backlash from witch hunters in the Middle Ages, but gained popularity again during the Renaissance. In the 20th century, the famous psychiatrist Carl Jung, among others, talked about palm reading.
What can the lines on the palm of your hand show you?
The hand is believed to be "an entry point to the soul. Followers of palmistry believe that the lines, mounds, and signs on your palm can reveal everything from our talents, personality, and dreams to past lives, current circumstances and destiny.
The lines and markings serve the same purpose as a tarot card, and each has a basic meaning.
In Palmistry, the "active" or dominant hand reveals opportunities and challenges in your present and future, while your non-dominant or "inactive" hand reflects your potential and long-term plans.
How to read in the palm of your hand?
One cool thing about palm reading is that you don't have to buy anything to get started. However, when studying your palms in detail, it can be helpful to highlight the lines and markings with color if certain areas are difficult to distinguish.
If you want to keep track of your lines over time, you can keep a journal to record what you find, because yes, they will change. You can do this by following your hand and drawing what you see over the years.
The key to success in palm reading is to relax and trust what you feel; otherwise, we could fall into a false interpretation.
heart line
The heart line is the first to be studied, and it is known to reveal aspects of our emotional state, relationships, and our potential to grow as a person. A deep line signifies emotional depth, while a weak line in contrast reveals a very delicate energy field. A dashed line means that relationships (including friendships) are often fleeting.
the line of mind
The mind line shows how thoughts and logic play out in our lives and how we approach the world rationally (rather than how we feel about it). A straight line of mind reveals a more logical approach, where curves suggest creativity. If the mind line is thin, it may mean that the intellect is not being used to its full potential.
The line of life
The line of life reveals to us the force of life, with a strong and deep line, which symbolizes a lust and energy for life; It is present, for example, in those people we consider to be naturally happy. Importantly, it does not reveal how long we will live, no matter how long, but it is about our passion for life, our pleasure in living, and our physical energy. If your line has breaks or weak points, you may lack enthusiasm for life.
the fate line
Fate or fate line sometimes only appears when a person is in their 20s or 30s, because they are dealing with life purpose and direction. Interestingly, when a child meets or is steered toward an education and career by his or her parents, the destiny line will be clear early in life. A straight line is associated with a relatively simple path, while a curved line can mean someone will explore different goals throughout life.
Which palm should you read?
One of the first questions people ask about palm reading is: Which hand are you looking at? The answer is: both can be read, but it depends on various aspects.
For example, a distinction is currently made between an active and passive hand. The active hand of the righteous will be his right hand; and the left hand is considered the passive hand. Similarly, the active hand of a left-handed person is the left hand; and his passive hand is his right hand.
In general, the passive hand is read for its inherited characteristics and potential. Therefore, look for changes in these inherited traits in the active hand.
As a general rule, when the lines and markings on the active and passive hands are quite different, it shows a person who has actively worked towards personal development.
How do we measure the palms?
There are several considerations regarding the length of the palm, as well as the size, shape, and length of the fingers. This branch of palmistry is called chironomia. There are different types of hand shapes, including spatulas, squares, and knots.
The following are some of the guidelines to determine the size of the palm and fingers:
- When the vertical and horizontal measurements of the palm are approximately equal, it is considered a square palm.
- A long slap is when your vertical measurement is longer than the horizontal measurement.
- Long fingers are considered when the length of the middle finger is equal to or greater than three quarters of the length (height) of the palm of the hand.
- Short fingers are considered when the length of the middle finger is less than three quarters of the length of the palm.
If you follow the guidelines that we have shared with you on this occasion, you will be able to better interpret both your hands and those of other people; being able to know what destiny has in store for you and how you should direct your actions to achieve your goals.
